A little about ourselvesIndiana Voices (formerly IndianaRSOL) like its national counterpart NARSOL, is dedicated to eliminating sex offender registration laws which do not effectively accomplish their stated goals. While we are concerned with public safety and protecting children, the majority of sex offender laws do neither. They merely engender fear and are largely sponsored by private interests who wish to make a profit at the expense of taxpayers and Registrants who are sincere in their desire to become productive citizens.
We believe that the basis of all Indiana Legislation must be the Indiana Constitution which dictates that: THE PENAL CODE SHALL BE FOUNDED ON THE PRINCIPLES OF REFORMATION AND NOT OF VINDICTIVE JUSTICE. Art. I, Sec. 18 Laws should be evidence based and reasonable not emotion based and vindictive. FAQ SHEET 1.Who are we and what do we do? IndianaVoices is a official contact point for NARSOL (National Association for Rational Sex Offense Laws). As such we work to combat new and currently existing laws which make it difficult for persons required to register as Sex Offenders to reestablish themselves in the community and to lead normal productive, offense-free lives. Unfortunately due to a general lack of support we are limited as to what help we can provide. At present our services are limited to answering questions about pending legislation and current Indiana law. 2. How can we contact you? We try to remain accessible to all. Among those working hard to make an impact against these laws in Vicli Henry and the members of "Women Against the Registry." (WAR) For more information about WAR, go here. DonateYour help helps us help you.
It is unfortunate that the work we do, in order to be effective, relies upon two things. Volunteers to do the work and money to pay for services volunteers can't do, as well as operating expenses. Thanks you for supporting us by clicking the donate button above. You can make one time or set up automatic monthly donations. THANK YOU! |

International Megan's LawAs you are probably aware, in 2016 the United States Legislature passed HR 515 which has come to me known as the International Megan's Law. (IML)
IML requires registrants to provide a 21 day notice to their local registration office prior to International Travel. The notice must include your itinerary for the trip. The Angel Watch program uses this information to alert foreign governments of your arrival. Many have been turned away at foreign entry check points and they are not given advanced notice. Countries surveyed interpret this notice as a warning from the US that this person is dangerous and should not be granted entry. The IML further requires that Registrant Passports bear a "unique identifier" designating the bearer as a "Sex Offender." The legislature passed this law as a broad sweep legislation. The method of identification involves a statement at the back of the "offender's" passport which identities them as having previously committed a sex offense. The administrative agency has already begun the process of revoking Registrant's passports. We encourage you to support the work of Paul Rigney and his associates at Registrant Tag. For more information visit or sister organization: For more information on International Megan's Law and tracking of those countries which bar registrant entry, Check out "Registrant Travel Action Group (R-TAG)" here: registranttag.org/ ONCE FALLENAnother amazing source of information about all things SO is Derek Logue's amazing website.
